Our Pastor
In November of 2025 Daniel Bishop became the pastor of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
He has a deep love for God's Word and a passion for helping people grow in their walk with Christ in real, everyday life both at home, at work, and in the community.
Daniel has served in ministry for many years in a variety of roles, including: associate pastor, music minister, youth pastor, fine arts director, and hospital chaplain.
He also has a heart for teaching and investing in the next generation, with experience working in Christian education.
Much of his ministry focus is centered on strengthening men, marriages, and families through biblical teaching, discipleship, and genuine connection.
He loves building relationships, encouraging others, and seeing people take next steps in their faith. Daniel and his family enjoy serving together in the church and being part of the Pleasant Ridge community. His greatest desire is to see people come to know Jesus, grow strong in their faith, and live lives that honor God.
Daniel has been married to Kelly since 2012 and they have had 6 children together, two of which are waiting for them in Heaven. When Pastor Bishop isn't engaged in ministry he enjoys distance running, third wave coffee, and playing the piano.
